HERO PROFILE
Background Story
"The Sea Chronicles of the Kingdom" tells about a terrible storm that raged When Respen was born. Violent gusts of wind swept through the coastal cities, taking with them everything that the residents did not have time to properly secure. It was amidst this roar of the elements that Respen opened his eyes for the first time. The wind kissed him, undressed him in its embrace. The newborn baby felt the winds from all over the world and understood them perfectly. When he was born, a terrible storm arose. Huge waves crashed onto the shores of the kingdom and even the ancient underwater crevasses trembled in time with the fierce gusts of wind. Time passed, and the storm did not abate. On the contrary, it seemed that its brightness was growing, condemning coastal towns to destruction. Then Hazard, the Guardian of the Tides, rose from the waves and appeared before Respen. The newborn elemental looked at him. Hazard's eyes radiated calmness and kindness. Respen quickly calmed down in the soft embrace of the water elemental. He was floundering, just like an ordinary baby, gradually getting used to using his own limbs. Thanks to Hazard , the terrible storm subsided and peace reigned on the coast . All 5 natural elements are closely connected and harmony between them is maintained by the efforts of 5 guardians. The ubiquitous winds are highly dependent on changes in temperature, terrain, and many other things. All this also influenced the wind-born Respen: his character is very changeable and carefree. Some sailors have well learned the nature of Respen: a gentle breeze can break in an instant into a roaring squall, throwing the ship like a chip. At such moments, the sailors lock themselves in their cabins and pray that the capricious child of the wind will allow them to safely reach the port. Not only was this young guardian of the elements naturally eccentric, but he, apparently, could not yet fully control his powers. To restore the balance of the verses, Hazard began to instruct Respen and helped him reconnect with the winds when he lost control of himself. The greatest storms are born in the sea and they die there too. Thanks to Hazard's patience, Respen gradually realized his duties as a guardian of the elements. He must calm the wind and change its direction to stop the chaos on the coast and put everything in order. When the fury of the elements passed, the Sankast blossomed. Ships of all shapes and sizes crowded the gold coast, and the Ocean Breeze filled their sails. Sankast was nicknamed the city of "A Thousand Sails". Grateful residents erected statues in honor of Respen. They called him the Child of the Wind. As soon as everything was in order, Hazard suddenly disappeared. Respen couldn't find him in any way. At first, he decided that Hazard had simply returned to the bosom of nature, for this is the fate of all elementals. However, there is no new guardian of the tides in the world. Having lost his mentor, Respen fell into despair from loneliness. He did not stop searching until the wind brought him strange news. The message led him to the Bastion of the Elements, where he found a Demon with heavy icy breath. Wrapped in the flames of chaos, the demon managed to get to the huge altar of the elements and touch it. At the same moment, Respen felt that the balance of the elements was disturbed. The Altar of the elements is the most important place for elementals. If it is destroyed, the whole Empire will be covered with chaos and destruction, and the power of the gods will be reduced even more. Respen cautiously called out to the figure standing at the altar: "Hazard?". The name of someone whom many once admired sounded loud and clear. Hazard turned around and looked coldly at Respen: "Do you want to stop me too? Like the others?" He did not take his blood-red eyes off Respen, an icy grin played on his face. At that moment, Respen noticed that the bodies of the dead elemental magicians from among the forest dwellers were lying all around them. "Why are you doing this?" — Respen couldn't look at the corpses chained by ice. He couldn't believe what was happening. "When did it all start? What could turn a loyal guardian of the elements into a vile Demon?" Hazard was not going to answer the questions: "You miserable worm, if only you could see what I see." The demon despised the AFC Arena Respen and did not try to hide it. The ice snake that announced his hand raised its head. High ice walls suddenly rose around Respen. The wind swallow Respen tried to break through the wall to the owner, but to no avail. "Only a hurricane could break my ice cage, and you have not learned to control your emotions. Can you control the wind? — Hazard clearly regretted the time spent on Respen and sighed bitterly — What a useless Guardian… Maybe he should return to the bosom of nature earlier, eh?" Hazard and his icy creation moved as one. The cage in which Respen was suddenly shrunk and the ice cut deeply into his body. "You told me before… About the duty of the guardian… Is this all a lie? — the cold suppressed his will — I thought… We could reconcile the elements and generations, become a mentor and a disciple... or even... friends." Respen closed his eyes. His mind was clouded with anger from betrayal, but suddenly it subsided and a pure image of Hazard, the guardian of the tides, appeared before his mind's eye. He remembered how the noble mentor stroked his head, remembered his crystal clear blue eyes: "One day I will disappear, I will dissolve like sea foam. When that day comes, remember my words and don't forget them... promise." "You're not him— Respen opened his eyes and looked sternly at the demon — Hazard never judged others. He said that I could be anyone, like a changeable wind." A wave of elements stirred in the ice cage. A moment later, Respen was in front of the demon and, like a whirlwind, fell on him. "No one dares to call me... useless or something! It's not up to you to decide!" Even in his last seconds, the demonic Hazard could not believe that Respen had managed to free himself from the ice cage and prevent him. Respen managed to prevent the crisis of the Bastion of the Elements in a timely manner. Sea winds are still treacherous to this day. They are like children, they can first throw a tantrum, and the next moment they are happily giggling. Residents of the city of thousands of sails, as before, adores the Child of the Wind. On every holiday, they bring wreaths of flowers to his statue, although they understand that they cannot influence his decision. He is unpredictable and changeable, and he makes people afraid of the power of nature. He always obeys his inner impulses and never rules or external conditions. Unknowingly, he spread seeds all over Esperia and now flowers bloom everywhere, completely unlike each other.
