ПРОФИЛЬ ГЕРОЯ
Предыстория
The past years have not dulled Talena's memories of her mother's death at all. Her round shield shattered under the frenzied onslaught of that demon, Framton. Talena, being still a very small phoenix, watched in horror how her beautiful and strong mother was holding on with the last of her strength. The demonic flames raged more and more, and Talena's heart was squeezed with despair and helplessness. She could no longer watch the battle and, shaking with fear, decided to follow her mother's instructions and hide. She could do nothing to help and only watched in horror. The purple-red flame crept closer and closer to the mother, until finally it completely engulfed her. After being reborn in the fire, Talena followed the trail of the demon she intended to destroy. She despised herself for cowardice, even though she was only a child in those distant times. She believed that her mother sacrificed herself for her, and that she died at the hands of Framton because of her, Talena, weakness. Vengeance burned in her chest. She wanted to personally deal with the killer. Only then will she be able to atone for her guilt and wash away the shame of childish cowardice. Now Talena was not a weak and defenseless bird, as in the past. The instrument of her revenge was the Flash of Solaris. Thanks to her power, Talena tracked demons everywhere, trying to figure out where Framton was. She burned many demons with a cleansing solar flame, and the mortals of Esperia began to glorify the last phoenix as a great heroine. However, as long as the demon was alive, the thirst for revenge in her heart could not be extinguished. One day, chasing her victim, Talena found herself in a Dark forest. There, after killing several demons, she came across a strange creature hiding in the grass: It was the spirit of a phoenix flower named Astar. A cheerful, warm light danced above her tiny head, and her eyes stared straight at Talena. Phoenix flowers were also once spawned by the Outbreak of Solaris, and it was probably because of this community that Talena liked Astar so much. The little girl followed her everywhere and, apparently, considered her a kind of kindred spirit. At first Talena thought too much about her revenge and hardly noticed Astar. Finally desperate to ever get rid of Astar, Talena resigned herself to the fact that now she would always have a companion. Perhaps Talena herself did not realize at first that thanks to Astar, her life became more complete and saturated. Astar reminded Talena of how much she herself depended on her mother as a child. In a small spirit, Talena recognized herself. It was not always quiet in the Dark Forest: demons periodically invaded there. When Talena sent another of them to the underworld, Astar often repeated her movements and tried to imitate her fiery attacks. But Astar's handling of fire was not very good, and this often led to trouble. Although Talena was amused by Astar's antics, she was still a little worried. The main thing in her life was revenge—she just didn't have time to look after Astar. One day, after finishing off another demon, Talena decided to teach Astar to control fire. She hoped that after that Astar would be able to protect himself. Talena started developing Astar's abilities. Under her careful guidance, Astar gradually learned to control her flame. She no longer accidentally set fire to the ground she walked on. Now she carefully held her light in the palm of her hand and even learned very complex techniques. Such a peaceful life did not last long. As soon as Talena realized that she was on the trail of Framton, she immediately decided that it was time to break up. She waited until Astar fell asleep and packed her things. She went to exact retribution, again alone. Having combed the forest to no avail, she soared into the sky in the hope of seeing something from a height. Suddenly, in a small clearing, she saw two figures. One of them was the very demon she had devoted her life to hunting, and the other... Astar! It just so happened that Astar, waking up and not seeing Talena nearby, went to the forest in search of her. Ironically, it was she who accidentally stumbled upon Framton. Anticipating the sweetness of dealing with the enemy, Talena created a fiery blade from the air and rushed down on Framton. The blow was so strong that the demon was thrown into the air. Talena turned around and covered Astar with herself, and then cautiously headed towards the enemy. There was a pall of dust and smoke in the air, but Talena knew that Framton could not be dealt with so easily. Laughing maliciously, Framton jumped out of the thicket, and his body burst into a terrible purple fire. The infernal flames cut through the curtain of smoke and struck Talena right in the air. The demon and the divine bird continued the fight on the ground, among the trees. At first, the Flash of Solaris gave Talena an advantage in battle, but Framton gradually got used to its heat, and now Talena had to retreat. It seemed as if the demon absorbed the Flash of Solaris, it became part of his body, and then he spewed demonic fire. The magic fire was rushing, gathering around his huge fists, and then Framton struck Talena with terrifying force. When a dark, searing flame obscured Talena's vision, it was as if she had returned to the past, to the very day when her mother died. She was sure that thanks to the Flash of Solaris, it would be easier to take revenge on the killer. However, when faced with a demon in reality, she lost confidence in her abilities. Talena understood that the childish fear that once bound her soul had not disappeared anywhere. Talena's hands trembled, and despair and a sense of helplessness engulfed her again. Framton's face twisted into a greedy smile, and he sauntered towards Talena, anticipating how he would absorb the last particle of the Solaris Flare. There seemed to be no hope, but suddenly a tiny figure appeared between him and Talena. At the sight of the weak but stubborn little girl, Talena's heart sank. The pain of losing her mother was mixed with fear for Astar. Forgetting about her own safety, Talena picked up Astar in her arms. Trembling all over, she created a shield—just like her mother did many years ago. With the last of her strength, she told Astar to run away and escape. The shield could barely withstand Framton's furious attacks. Astar's courage deserted her, and she ran away sobbing. Talena saw Astar disappear, and she had almost no strength left to resist. The shield cracked and threatened to collapse completely. Talena crouched down to keep from falling. Her face assumed a calm and contemptuous expression. The searing demonic flames finally penetrated the shield, and it exploded, knocking Framton back. Talena couldn't fight anymore. She collapsed to the ground, and the flames above her head fluttered and almost went out. Her vision blurred, but she managed to make out baby Astar, making her way to her. Astar threw herself on the prostrate Talena and began pouring all her flame into her. The fire of Astar nourished Talena. The flames above her head had flared up again, and now a real fire was raging inside. Talena's body shone with the purest light, and this light tore the purple demonic fire to shreds, which dissolved like ice on a hot summer afternoon. Talena opened her eyes and saw a clear blue sky. The sun shone over Esperia, as did her Flash of Solaris. The last of the phoenixes was reborn again. "As long as the sun shines, the phoenixes will not disappear from this world and the heavens above it."
